Class Description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS None.
GENERAL AIM OF THE COURSE To introduce people to the basic strokes, rules of badminton and basic tactics of playing the game. LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course students will be able to: - Undertake the basic badminton strokes; - Do simple warm-up and stretch routines; - Score a singles and doubles game; - Know the rules of badminton; and - Enjoy a game of singles and doubles.
GENERAL APPROACH TO THE COURSE Each week players will be introduced to different badminton strokes. Players will be mainly playing with coaching as appropriate.
MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENTS Badminton racket, suitable clothing and good trainers.
