| Class Description |
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: No formal entry requirements. GENERAL AIM OF THE COURSE: To give students the confidence in cooking various Indian dishes. To enable students to become familiar with ingredients used in Indian Cuisine, hence able to cook Indian food while confidently enjoying the experience. LEARNING OBJECTIV ES: By the end of the course, students will be able to: 1. Feel confident about Indian cooking and be able to prepare meals for themselves. 2. Learn where the ingredients can be purchased. 3. Have the confidence to experiment with Indian cooking and prepare their own recipes. 4. Most importantly, the students should enjoy themselves and have fun. GENERAL APPROACH TO THE COURSE: The classes will involve practical demonstrations with simple written outlines. There will be a written account of how the recipes are prepared and these will be provided to the students during class. MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENT: Ingredients, cooking utensils, apron, maintain appropriate hygiene levels. Approximate cost of materials: This will depend on the dishes, however the main cost will be the purchase of the spices, but these can be regularly used for the majority of the dishes.
