Class Description
GENERAL NOTE-DANCE CLASSES: Working with a partner makes the class more enjoyable. Whilst we do "team" students up we cannot guarantee that partners will be available.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Students should have a good knowledge of the Ballroom Dance and have completed Post Beginner level or beyond. While it is not a strict requirement, please note it would be more suitable at this level if students can come with a partner.
GENERAL AIM OF THE COURSE To teach students, in a relaxed manner, some of the more difficult steps of the Ballroom Dance and to promote dance as an enjoyable means of exercise. To enable those who are more advanced to develop their style and accuracy. LEARNING OUTCOMES:
By the end of the course students will 1 Dance more comfortably in time to music; improve style and presentation 2 Dance more confidently at a good social level 3 Have a good knowledge of different rhythms and techniques 4 Have improved muscle tone, control and balance 5 Enjoy dancing with a partner - ultimately be like two people dancing as one
GENERAL APPROACH TO THE COURSE Demonstration and instruction. Students will work in partners. There will be individual attention as & when required.
MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENTS Lightweight shoes- no trainers please.
