Class Description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: No formal entry requirements. This is a lively and upbeat class.
GENERAL AIM OF THE COURSE; This course will cover a basic warm up, travel sequences and an end routine. The classes will focus on improving flexibility, stamina and co-ordination in a fun and friendly manner. It will be a mix of styles from Street Dance, Contemporary to Latin. LEARNING OUTCOMES: The students will be familiar with different styles of dance Feel competent in performing certain movements relating to these styles Understand the class structure of a warm up, travel sequences and an end routine
GENERAL APPROACH TO THE COURSE: The tutor will physically demonstrate exercises and talk through the logistics of the movements. The class will practise the exercises with the tutor and then practise on their own. The tutor will observe the class on their own once they feel comfortable with the movements and give praise/feedback.
MATERIALS REQUIRED BY STUDENTS: The students need to be dressed appropriately, with trainers or jazz shoes/boots and tracksuit bottoms with a T - Shirt or vest top.
