Class Description

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: No formal entry requirment.
GENERAL AIM OF THE COURSE: To run through the basics of Samba drumming as well as covering slightly more intermediate levels. LEARNING OUTCOMES:
By the end of the course students will have learned: 1. Stick techniques 2. How to play 6 different drumming patterns and a number of different breaks. Students will also have a basic knowledge of the range of drums that make up a samba band, and will be able to play them.
GENERAL APPROACH TO THE COURSE: Students will learn through varioyus rhythm tasks, games and by example.
